There are many NGO's who are trying and are willing to work there – who have been banned by the local militants who deny that there is any famine at all.
I heard on the radio about the "official" definition for famine, and how Somalia meets 2 of the 3 criteria, but their death toll isn't quite high enough. what a flippin wold we live in! So so wrong!
