Since the last live play-along I learned how to use some pretty wonderful live streaming software and got completely carried away making opening videos and end clips and ….. well, you probably don’t want to hear me go on and on. Cause I could. I like this behind-the-scenes stuff. Just admire my opening intro and ignore all things I got wrong. To play along gather the same supplies as last time: colorful scraps of paper or cloth with scissors and a glue stick. Or get some colored pencils, crayons, or markers. Any medium works! Use a 5×7 piece of something for a base. I use a stabilizer or muslin since I work with textiles but you can use anything you’d like. You could play along with your kids, grandkids, friends – get a zoom going and share the video and all play together! If you want to purchase your own deck of 48 warm up exercises, you’ll find them here. You can watch and play along with the first color themed exercises HERE. If you want to know when the next play-along will happen, follow me onInstagram at https://www.instagram.com/lyrickinard/or on my FaceBook business page at Lyric Art

Every artist should spend some time playing, don’t you think? Shouldn’t your creativity bring you joy? Sometimes you just need to try playing around with a different medium, one with no pressure, no expectations. Enjoy taking a peek at an experimental accordion book I created while working with a lovely group led by Susan Purney Mark, called Cloth to Codex. This work is available on my shop.Click through and check it out

I’ve been heads-down buried in learning new things – mostly software. I’m playing with live-streaming play-alongs on my Youtube Channel. Here is the first try – I don’t even remember if I used software or went straight through YouTube’s control channels. If you want to play along with me grab some colorful scraps, scissors, a glue stick, and anything to use as a 5×7 postcard base. Oh – and don’t forget to bring an attitude of creative exploration. Let’s have fun! The cards are available for purchase in my shop! Go over there right now, pick up a pack and let’s play!
