[…] As you can see, when I converted these to black and white, the frost photo has a lot of gray included which doesn’t work well with the EZ Screens. I used a really good tutorial on converting photos in Photoshop Elements for use in Thermofax screens (similar to EZ Screens) which you can find on Lyric Kinard’s site.
[…] I found this vintage letter at Flickr Creative Commons, a great place for copyright free images. I think I’ll punch it up a bit and make a new thermofax screen for my shop. I have a tutorial for working with photos to prepare them for thermofax images here. […]

Thank you, Lyric!!! I keep taking photos thinking I'll have them made into screens and then never knew what was needed. The tutorial is fantastic! Now to dig out those camera cards - where did I put them for safe keeping? LOL!

Thank you for the tutorial! It was clear and concise and most helpful.

I am inspired by old photographs with people in them. I make art quilt based on these images. It would be interesting to try some screen printing with them.

Today I was inspired by the beautiful rad colour of tomatoes ripening on the plants in the back yard.
