I so agree with the conundrum ... I love the look of my pieces on frames ... they have a certain dignity on frames (i.e., will not be mistaken for a "large fancy potholder") (grins), and it does simplify the smaller galleries issues with properly hanging an unframed art quilt when they are really most familiar with hanging frames ... but then there IS that issue of where to store them here in the home, I just keep rotating and gifting! I find that my friend's interests in their own lives tend to be unanticipated and most appreciated challenges to me in my designing play .. for instance, a ladyfriend is a trained chef ... so I'm working on a series of small pieces to express flavors !!! fun! smiles and joy to you -- may 2015 be filled with joy, relaxation, inspiration, lots of playtime, and heaps of good colors.

I love ammonites, well shells and spirals of any kind twinkle my lights. Your triptych is beautiful. Interesting about the quilts vs. canvas. I wonder if people, outside of quilters, know what to do with a canvas and don't know what to do with a quilted piece of artwork. Or, they may think they need to clean it like bed linens. It would be interesting to poll interested buyers their preference. Beautiful art, regardless!!!

These are beautiful. I love tryptics. I think it's interesting that your critical voice is about practicality as opposed to artistic expression. It's great that your work is selling - keep at it! Take care, Byrd

Lyric, They are all glorious and worthy of any quilt show! So stop procastinating and enter them into something. I sure they would be winners. I think they are wonderful and would be proud to hang them on my walls if I could afford to buy them. Julie Beard.wwwjulie714@adam.com.au
