Hi Lyric, Firstly, thank you very much for your wonderful parcel. It arrived some time last week. I only managed to pick it up on this Wednesday as Adelaide last week experienced our first heat wave of summer!!! From midnight Monday morning our temperature steadily climbed from the comfortable 26 degrees celcius of the weekend weather to the maxium on Thursday of 45.2 degree celcius = 115 degrees Farenheit!!!!!!!!!! The temperature didn't actually start to drop until Friday night. Thank goodness. On that day Adelaide was the hottest city in the world useless trivia! The worse thing about it all was my power bill took a big hit as I relied on my aircon more than normal during that episode!!!!

So far this week the weather has been lovely and again next week another heatwave is going to hit and I'm not looking forward to it. Well I've been reading the book in my bed at night just before I turn the lights out. Although it's was an terrible event the quilts of this book are all amazing. I too have my memories of that event and will never forget where I was when I watched the towers fall too!

Wow! This weeks artisit is spectactular. I will take a look at his site to see if I get inspired to draw something too! Thanks once again I will look forward to seeing what you are doing soon. Bye for now Julie Beard.

Oh Lyric! Thanks so much for this featured artist. I love maps and what Mr. Fairburn has done with them is spectacular. When my husband retired, I helped him "clean" out the office. In the box of things that came home with me were topographic maps of our area that were used to site wind turbines. They have sat for 10 years waiting for inspiration to strike. :) Wishing you a fun filled weekend and thanks for always making me want to jump up and start creating.
