I love your classes in person so I think you’d be great online, maybe with videos, pictures, audiofiles, etc. The real difficulty will be finding a venue for everyone to interact. Someplace to show our work to both you and the other students. I haven’t tried facebook, but I have heard good things about them. There’s always skyping that may work.

Videos are great, especially with PDFs, for demonstrating procedures and techniques. Photos included in PDFs provide a clearer picture, when enlarged, than stopping a video to see what the instructor is doing. I avoid Facebook.

You got yourself a great holiday present, Lyric. Hope you get to make lots of art on it. I like video lessons with pdf downloads of certain things needed to accompany the lesson. I’ve seen you on screen in videos and shows and enjoy your delivery. I DON”T do Facebook! I’m already signed up to a lot of Yahoogroups and think that works very well for discussion of any sort. It could be made private for a particular class. I like the Craftsy platform, but certainly understand the reasons for your reluctance. Not being an online teacher, I never thought of it that way. Happy holidays!

I like to have both written and visual information. We are visual artists after all 🙂 Classes on screen printing would be very interesting to me. I have taken numerous course on-line and enjoyed them (almost) all. Some way to interact with other students is always good and a place to share photos of work in progress or completed is also great.

I am so excited that you are going to have online classes. I like process classes or study classes. For example: Taking a design from creation through to completion. (I realize this is a huge topic and could be broken down into a series of classes.) Or, to organize thoughts into a series of work. I prefer PDFs augmented with videos. They seem to compliment each other. Classes that have not offered PDFs required me to take notes since I am not an oral learner, I need to read and do. As to formats, Melanie Testa’s Creative Guild was great. I don’t know what the platform is for it and we shared on a private flicker acct. I recently took a class that used Ruzuku and did not like it. It wasn’t user friendly and very cumbersome. Whatever you decide, I know it will be fabulous! Have a very Merry Christmas!!!

I like pdfs – something I can download and try without spending a lot of time studying the topic. I like it when a particular topic is also tied to the principles and elements…. like: try this to practice adding shading, or scale, or balance. A quick video is also helpful in this regard, so I can use it on my own schedule. I am trying to spend most of my time making art instead of studying it, but I like quick references for when I am in the middle of something and begin to question my process. I have all (most) of your videos and books so far!!! They are all helpful. “Sense of Scale” sounds like something I would really enjoy…. maybe even because it is so rare!

I like both pdf and video. I am not really a visual learner, but for some things, seeing is a bonus when word explanations are confusing. I like facebook groups but am willing to accept whatever is most comfortable for others. I especially like design related classes, rather than how do I make this.

I have taken lots of online classes and helped a friend film and edit her content {http://extremejournalism.ning.com/} and I prefer both the pdf and a video. Any of your content would be great, but I am a fibre lover first and foremost…
I am settling into a new house and studio space (smaller than my former space) so I too am in extreme editing mode. But when you love ALL of your stuff it’s tough…
I saw my name by the book (Shari) but am not sure it is me…
