Lyric, I'm happy to hear that this work has been accepted by SAQA; as it should be! They do have "ties" and each is distinct is unique and lovely on its own.
As for entering shows, I have yet to answer a magazine challenge. It is difficult for me to show my work in an online class. But, I'm getting there.
Congratulations!

Congratulations on being accepted into SAQA and the International quilt shows! This piece is lovely. I admire you for being able to separate your accomplishments from your personal identity. For some of us, that's hard to do.

I have never entered anything so I can't begin to understand how you toughen yourself to that process.I DO know that I like the vignettes you showed in today's post. They seem like people--not symmetric throughout, but with some balance and beauty in the quirkiness, some a little rough with tattered cloth, some with very close controlled lines, some that burst out with joy unexpectedly yet all could be cut from the same cloth, as the saying goes.
