I must share a moment that I had with my daughter last night at bedtime – we were discussing our gifts, and faves etc. When I asked what her favourite gift was, she answered thusly: "My favourite gift was all the thought that everyone put into my gifts, Mama." This statement from my 10 year old daughter made me melt, and brought me more joy than any tangible gift can… All the best to you in 2012, Lyric!

Aside from little acts of kindness that I try to do whenever I can, I gave a Tim card (Canadian coffee shop) to an ex adult student of mine who stands all day selling papers once a week at our local Tim's. I put it in a c/Christmas card and passed it to him when I bought the paper.
