Christine's work is just amazing! The whole story and Christine's words are a song to my heart since I am one of those too – scientist with an urge for creative expression. My inspiration also mostly comes from amazing world of nature but the best part is (as Christine says) how nature's dynamics and relations reflect so well into our human society. Sometimes I whish that it is so way more! 🙂
Coming from a similar field (cancer research) I have the same frustrations with science work and need that same balance Christine is talking about. Interestingly, as I am getting older, creative expression becomes more and more important, almost essential. I am not sure if I will ever leave science (before I retire that is) but some days it sure feels like a dream come true! 🙂 In the meantime, accumulating, learning, exploring – all to build an artist inside.
