If you want really strong results (like for a grocery tote bag), use more than one layer of fabric and a good gel medium – just my experience. Gotta use those long stitches, too as the holes don't 'heal' the way holes in fabric will do.

Thanks for featuring Judy's work. I have her DVD about painting the bird, and love her painted wholecloth quilts.

I just recently made some fabric paper, but have not used it for a project yet. I made a collage which I donated as a prize to the Pink Artist project a couple years ago. It had some papers as well as fabrics and turned out well.
