What a delightful Birthday !! I finally had time to view your interview on The Quilt Show on the 9th, my birthday is on the 10th so I treated myself watching again and again and then finding you blog and signing on. O h, my how inspirational. Texted my LA Tech professor daughter about thermofax machines (her answer was yes they had those in the 80s but they use much newer methods) I will be trying that out. It is cold and rainy here and my favorite thing to do on a day like this is to spend the day in my "makin-stuff room"(my 3 year old grand-daughter named it that) with three sewing machines set up, some ink , fabric and many threads surrounding.
I have been more of a traditionsl quilter since 1976, but have vered more into freeform in later years. Love Kaiedscope type quilts. This screen printing takes me back to college with much more user friendly methods. You are an inspiration!

[…] Part of the fun of teaching is meeting your colleagues, which then become your friends. I met Melinda Bula while teaching at the American Quilt Society show in Paducha during what is now affectionately known as the tornado year. We had quite a lovely adventure together, spending an extra day in town after volunteering to get bumped from our flight. You can read about it here. […]
